This screen prompts you to connect both computers with an Easy Transfer Cable, and make sure that the Easy Computer Sync program is running on your other computer.
Important: Both computers need to be connected with and Easy Transfer Cable, and at the “Connection Screen” in order to make the connection.
Some tips if you are having problems:
· If you need to install Easy Computer Sync on your other computer, you can visit http://GetEasyComputerSync.com to do so. Once it’s installed, you can start it in several ways.
· Plug the Easy Transfer Cable directly into your computers (not through a hub) if at all possible.
· If the cable is connected, but you are stuck on this screen on both computers, recheck the connection, or try using a different port on each computer. Over time, some USB ports on your computer can wear down with repeated use. For example, if you always plug your USB thumb drive into one USB port, try using a different port to plug in the Easy Transfer Cable.
· If you are still having problems establishing the connection, unplug all non-essential USB devices (such as printers, scanners, external drives) from each computer.
After the connection is established, the orange text will change to “Connection Detected!”, and the program will automatically advance to the Selection screen.
