Startup Programs

This page shows programs that startup when you or other users logon to your computer.

You can individually enable/disable startup programs by using the checkbox next to each one.

Importantly, Bloat Buster rates each program, giving it either a “Yes” or “No” recommendation.  You can click on the “Use Recommended” button to enable only the programs that have a “Yes” recommendation.

Clicking on the “Enable All” button enables every startup program, and the “Disable All” button disables every startup program.

Some interesting facts about each startup program are provided, including:

·         Icon – to visually identify it

·         Name – typically based on its registry entry

·         Product – the name of the product that it belongs to

·         Company – the name of the publisher

·         User – the User that it is associated with

·         Command – the command that is executed to launch the program

·         Location – the location in the system

·         Date Disabled – the date that the program was last disabled

After enabling/disabling startup programs, you need to press “OK” to save the changes to your computer.
