System Settings

This dialog box shows various system settings that you should select to improve your system’s performance.  Depending on your version of Windows, different system settings may be shown.

On all versions of Windows:

· Reduce All Web Browser Cache Sizes – allows you to reduce all web browser cache size to a reasonable level. 

· Disable Indexing – disables the Windows Indexing Service.  Searches of your computer will be slower, but your system’s overall performance will improve.

On Windows Vista only:

· Disable Superfetch – disables the Superfetch service.  Your computer’s responsiveness when first started should improve when this is checked.
